Newsround Visits Year 6
Recently Y6 had a very special visitor, Paul Whelan from BBC Newsround, who travelled all the way from London by train to work with us for the day. He had set off while we were still I bed!
With Paul we looked at the Newsround website and talked about the stories which are in the news at the moment. He showed us the premiere of his little film which explains how Newsround is put together.
We found out that much of the film which reporters shoot is not used. The editor cuts out a lot !

In groups, we were then asked to produce a storyboard showing which news stories we thought should come in which part of the programme and which Newsround reporter we would send out. |
