Studying at Hartlepool United Football Club

Our local league football team is Hartlepool United (or Pools). At Pools there is a classroom and on Tuesdays, fifteen Y5s go there to do some extra work after school. The teacher is called Steve Murphy and he is great.

Working hard in the classroom

These boys are concentrating on their work

We learn how to do maths and English through looking at football programmes, studying the different jobs people do at the club, using the internet and learning about different parts of Victoria Park (which is what Hartlepool’s ground is called)

We have also interviewed two of Hartlepool’s best and favourite players, the captain Micky Barron and Ritchie Humphreys. We all have the use of a computer in the classroom and learn lots of IT skills such as using the internet for research and making our own presentations.

Lots of thinking going on here, engrossed in what they are doing

Taking a break from work. Trying out the stand!

We have a brilliant time and it is a really fun way to learn

Here are some of our Great Hartlepool Football Team. They are doing VERY well at the moment.
