Christmas Concerts 1998
Well, there's no denying that after losing half of the school to a fire this year, everyone had their work cut out to make sure that the children's education didn't suffer, we are glad to say that it didn't, but for a while we wondered if by trying to put on our usual christmas concerts this year, maybe we were pushing our luck?
You see, our main hall was lost to the fire too, and the hall that we are left with just wouldn't cope with the usual number of parents and other visitors from our community that would normally come to see our children's production.
Fortunately, the Headteacher of Manor Comprehensive School next door, Mr Alan White, offered us the use of one of his halls and the offer was just too tempting, we just had to try!
The children and staff happily walked around to Manor School for rehearsals many times it was in the wind and rain but before we knew it dress rehearsals were over and it was time to do the shows for real!
