Grange Football Team
The Y5/Y6 football team enjoyed a successful season this year, finishing 2 nd in the South League. After losing the first game of the season, Grange then beat Rift House, Rossmere, Owton Manor and St.Theresa’s to finish the league season with 4 wins and 1 defeat.
Matthew Craigie had an excellent season in goal, making many important saves. Haiden Donnelly and Anthony Wilkins were very consistent throughout the season and their defensive efforts were a big reason for the success. In attack, Jake Younger, Matthew Walls, Brandon Roberts and Andrew McKay scored very important goals during the season, whilst Bradley Betts, Ryan Egglestone, and Dean Kerr had excellent seasons and will be an important part of next years team.
The team also competed in the Town Cup, Football in the Community Cup and also the Hartlepool United Penalty Competition, representing the school magnificently. Everyone at the school is very proud of the team’s achievements this season.
