When on deployment, we sailors are provided with all of the things we need, great food, laundry, post office, in fact I even have my own sleeping place, in fact, our ship is a regular home from home, however, when I'm off duty I need something to pass the time away. I suppose I could watch TV but that doesn't exercise my mind much, so like any puppy I like to play games.

But I'm a 'sea dog' so my favourite game is......

Battleships! - and as a surface warfare specialist, I like to think that Nick trained me well and that I'm pretty good at it! If you'd like to challenge me to my favourite game start firing away - my fleet's exactly the same size as yours and is hidden in the grid above left, of course, you can't see it, your fleet is in the grid on the right, and I can't see your fleet either.

Try and think of the best way to fire your shots to find and hit my ships - you could fire randomly, but a pattern might find all of my ships more quickly - you'll soon get the idea!

Watch your 'status bar' at the foot of your browser - that'll quickly tell you how many and which types of ships I have left and that in turn may tell you where to fire next.
