~ Mr Smith - Class 3 ~
12 children from Y5 and Y6 wrote a song (with Mr. Smith`s help) on an anti-bullying theme, which we entered into a competition , open to any school in the North East of England. It was successfully chosen for the finals along with 9 other songs.
The final was held at the Sage in Gateshead on 13th November, to coincide with the start of anti-bullying week. Here are the words of Grange Primary`s entry, of which we are very proud.
Don`t Keep it Hidden…(don`t keep it to yourself)
Keep it hidden...keep it to yourself
Keep it hidden...keep it to yourself
Keep it hidden...
It makes you want to scream inside,
And you need someone – need someone.
`Cos life can be a bumpy ride,
And you need someone – need someone.
You need to share and let it out,
(you want to) shout at the world and let it all spill out,
`cos you need someone …...yes you need someone.
Keep it hidden...keep it to yourself
Keep it hidden...
You`re desperate for it all to end,
Really need some help – need some help.
You`re far too scared to tell your friends,
When you need some help – need some help.
(So you`re) careful what you say and do,
Because they said it would be worse for you,
If you tell someone……you gotta tell someone.
But deep inside you know the strength you need,
Is locked inside – waiting to be freed.
Don`t be a victim – make that call,
And reach for someone…that`s all,
So help yourself……you gotta free yourself.
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden…don`t keep it to yourself..
Don`t keep it hidden.
