Community project - Happiness parcels

This half term Year 1 worked together to bring happiness to people in the local community. The children made parcels with items they thought would make people smile. They then nominated people they felt deserved one of these parcels and some children even got the chance to deliver them around the local area.

Trip to Wynyard Road library

Year 1 got the chance to visit our local library. The children enjoyed sharing books, creating bookmarks and some children even got to scan and stamp books for us to borrow and bring back to school!

World Down Syndrome Day - Odd Socks

The children supported World Down Syndrome day by coming to school wearing odd socks!

Role play time!

The children put their science knowledge to use in our vets role play area. This half term they have been learning about animals including humans so this area allowed them to test their knowledge while playing with their friends and having fun!

Red Nose Day 2023

The children supported Red Nose Day by "doing their own thing" children came to school in lots of different clothing and completed a competition to draw their best joke!

We had the best day!

Design Technology - Creating models

This half term the children created models in DT. The models were linked to our history topic about Sir Ralph Ward Jackson. The children created models based on things they had learnt about Ward Jackson. The children learnt that he brought lots of things to Hartlepool including boats, ships and houses. Can you spot what our models are?
