Parents - What you can do to help at home

Home reading

Please support your child at home by reading every day. Make sure you record every time your child reads in their yellow reading record. When your child is confident with the book put it in the basket in the Reception entrance. Please leave the Reading record inside the book, so we know which book belongs to your child. Thanks for your continued support smiley

Homework

Your child will receive homework in their yellow book on a Monday. It will alternate each week, one week it will be Phonic based, one week it will be Maths. Help us to know how your child is doing by commenting on each piece. If you need any support with what we are learning in school, please come and ask a member of the team.

We ask for completed homework to be in the basket by Thursday please.

Handwriting

You child has a letter formation sheet in their homework book please use this as a guide to help with writing at home. At Grange we use our 'handwriting patter' to help the children remember the way to form the letters.

Click on the link below to see the handwriting patter.
