Please find below an outline of our learning for w/b 04.01.21

English

 

Reading:

We are reading Pumpkin Soup and looking at the meaning of new vocabulary in the story.

 

Writing:

We are writing our own set of instructions on how to make Pumpkin soup.

 

Maths

 

Counting:

We are learning to count in twos to 50.

 

Maths:

We are learning recognise groups of numbers and learning about the multiplication by symbol (x)

 

Spelling

 

This week we are looking at words with double f and double s at the end and we are reading and writing words containing this rule, for example -
hiss, miss, kiss, puff, fluff, sniff.

 

If you log into bug club you will find some games linked to this.

Geography

 

Our geography topic is villages, towns and cities.

 

We are using lesson 1:

PE

 

In PE we are focusing on dance. This week we are learning how to perform movements in a sequence. How many movements can you create and perform in a sequence?

 

 

 

 

RE

 

In RE we are learning about The Bible.

We will then draw and write about why the Bible is important to Christians.

PSHE

 

In our Jigsaw work we are learning about goals and dreams.

 

Draw a picture to show your goals for the future and label it.

Art

 

In Art we are looking at seaside pictures. Can you find any paintings of the seaside by famous artists? Which is your favourite? Why?

Science

 

In science we are learning about Human Lifestyles.

Covid 19 - activities for children isolating w/b 14th December

 

Dear parents/carers,

During the week 14th -18th December, we will be completing many Christmas activities in school including:

- making  a Christmas card

- making a calendar 

- making a Christmas bauble/ornament/decoration

- singing Christmas carols

- retelling the Christmas story and drawing pictures to match 

- Christmas movie morning with hot chocolate 

- playing Christmas party games

 

Please try some of these activities at home.

Covid 19 - Day one activities for self-isolating pupils

 

If your child is on day one of self-isolating, please find the activities listed below that should be completed:
