SEND Team (Hartlepool Children's Services)
The Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Team works closely with parents, schools, Children's and Families colleagues and Health Services to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs get the most out of their school life and maximise their achievements.
They aim to provide children with appropriate provision and ensure educational placements provide for a child’s needs adequately, so that they can achieve their full academic and social potential, in both school and in the community.
The SEND team also provides support and advice to parents and carers.
