Science
In Science this half-term we started our topic on materials. We learnt the difference between an object and a material, and then explored and sorted different materials based on their properties e.g hard and soft. We then had to decide what would be the best material for a waterproof roof for the animals in Room on the Broom. We then conducted an experiment to test the whether the roof was waterproof or not.
Geography
In Geography this half term we learnt all about our school. We learnt what human and physical geographical features are, and looked that the different features we have within our school. We began to look at maps of the school, and then we made our own. We used the maps we created to go on a treasure hunt around the school!
