Term 1

Well done to all our wonderful Reception children who have settled into full time school brilliantly! We’re so proud of you all!

We have had a busy first half term, the topic we have been exploring is 'Why do you love me so much?' The children have been talking about their friends and family. They have been learning how to look after their bodies - how to clean themselves and wash their hands properly.  

We had a great trip to Wynyard Forest with a West View Project.  We looked for signs of autumn,went on a bug hunt and built a den!

Both classes had their first trip to the library. We listened to stories, drew pictures and chose some books to take back to school!

We finished our first half term with a Spooky Day. Children enjoyed coming to school dressed up and we played games, listened to stories and learnt how to stay safe on Halloween!

 

 

We are having such a busy half term! We enjoyed making Poppy biscuits for Remembrance Day and we talked about the soldiers who fought in the war.

 

 

 

 

Whatever Next by Jill Murphy!  We loved this story of the week! We read the story, made rockets and flew to the moon!
