Towers, Tunnels and Turrets

Our first exciting topic is all about castles and tunnels! On Monday 11th September we visited Durham Castle where the children toured the castle, acted as guests at a medieval dance and started to make model castles. It was a super day!

The witch from Rapunzel asked Y2 to design and build towers which no one could escape from as she was annoyed that Rapunzel escaped! These photos show the amazing towers which we then made using mod-rock. Everyone in school thought that they looked brilliant and we have put some in the school gallery.  
On Wednesday 20th December we had a lovely parent and carer event where everyone sat and made Christmas Wreaths. It was a relaxed and very creative morning. Thanks to everyone who attended - the children loved it!
We sold all of our gingerbread reindeer at the Christmas Fair! Thank you to everyone who bought one!
We had a lovely time during our Christmas party in Y2 and even met Santa!
