Grow, Persevere, Succeed. Be the best you can be!
Happy New Term!
Our first topic this school year is Marvellous me!
This is to help our little ones learn about themselves, each other and each other’s' families!
This half term we will look at our bodies, how we move and grow, we will explore the nursery indoor and outdoor environment using our senses. We will share feelings and emotions and practice sharing and taking turns.
This topic helps children to begin to realise that every person is unique and special. Differences should be celebrated.
They also learn that all child’s thoughts and ideas are important and no one person is more or less important than another
We will have lots of fun too!
Autumn
All about Autumn this week in Caterpillars. We have been learning new words such as leaves, falling, brush and sweep, also using our maths skills making patterns, sorting leaves into big and small.
I Can Share
Our book this week is all about sharing and turn taking. As you can see we have tried very hard to share our play with our friends from giving out and making snack to taking turns in free play.
All about me!
We have been sharing the book 'All about me' using lots of action words, such as, 'Pat, clap, stretch, touch' ,a fun way of learning new words. We also loved using the mirrors and finding pictures of ourselves and our friends. 😊
Miss Polly
This simple pretend play activity is perfect for acting out the nursery rhyme and to show how we can care for others.
