Special Events
In week 1, we celebrated pancake day. We did lots of fun activities:
- Creating pancake faces by cutting and sticking different toppings
- Using cutlery to spread our toppings onto pancakes
- Eating pancakes
- Painting pancakes at the painting easels
- Reading Mr Wolf's Pancakes
Pancake Day
In week 1, we also celebrated World Book Day 2022 the 25th Anniversary of World Book Day!
We did lots of fun activities:
- Dressing up as our favourite characters
- Making book marks
- Taking part in our school competition to dress up a potato as one of our favourite characters
- Sharing books with friends
- Retelling stories, including Little Rabbit Foo Foo (see our video below!)
- Drawing and colouring our favourite characters from books we have read
World Book Day 2022
In week 3, we celebrated Red Nose Day.
The children 'did their own thing' and wore their own clothes for the day. We also completed some of the official RND activities like 'Pin the Heart on the Monster' and joining in with Cosmic Yoga - Red Nose Island.
In week 3, we celebrated British Science Week.
We looked at the theme of growth and focused on our teeth. We read the book, 'Give us a Smile Cinderella', discussed keeping our teeth healthy in our PSHE Jigsaw lesson 'Healthy Me' and sang the BBC nursery rhyme 'Brush Your Teeth'.
