We visited Palace Green Library in Durham to learn about the Romans. We learned lots of fantastic facts and handled some artefacts that were over 2000 years old! we had lots of fun learning about the Roman baths, the invasion of Britawin and Roman life.
Year 4 were lucky enough to have two scientists from Newcastle University visit us and show us some amazing science experiments. We learned all about how the Earth was formed and we even made dinosaur toothpaste!
For the next two weeks we are writing descriptive nature poems in English so we decided to go on a nature walk and see what Autumn looks like in the park. We collected lots of leaves and conkers whilst looking at the beautiful colours and listening to the sounds.
This term out Topic is Potions. One week in November we received a letter from Mr Willy Wonka! He asked us to create a bottle for his brand new hot chocolate creation. We've spent lots of time perfecting our designs, creating mock ups and evaluating each stage. Have a look at some of our designs we made from Plasticine!
This year, Year 4 were invited to take part in Tees Valley Music's Snappy Christmas concert at the Borough Hall. We had lots of fun learning the songs and performing infront of all of the parebnts and carers who came to watch our performance. Some of our favourite songs to learn were;One Little Voice, Bad Dog, I will Follow Him and Feliz Navidad.
