During Science we explored the three main types of rock — igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic — by creating our own model examples. 🪨 We’ll be referring back to these throughout our science unit to help us understand how rocks are formed and change over time.

We are working on our land use and pattern unit. Today we located the 9 geographical regions. 🌎🗺️

Today we worked with ‘ Game of Actual Life’ practicing our money skills; discussing budgeting, necessities and values of an effective future worker. ✏️

In Year 3 we are enjoying our fluency programme. 📚

We have been investigating the location of cities and towns using Digimap! This opened up interesting discussions about location, cardinal directions and size difference. 

This week we have been focusing on bridging to 10 in Turbo Maths when subtracting thinking of the sum as a partitioning and 'drawing away’ process.

We are planning, designing, trialling and eventually building our own castle models using recycling! We have discussed how different shapes / recycling links to the key properties of a castle in shape, purpose and design.
