Reading
Children in Year 1 participate in reading groups on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
We will give reading practice books out on a Friday.
Library Day is Wednesday. Library books will be sent out on Wednesday.
Please sign the purple reading card each night to show that you have listened to your child read their reading practice book. Please send your child into school each day with their
- Book bag
- Reading practice book
- Signed purple reading record
If your child brings these items in each day, they will move up the reading ladder. The aim is to reach 5 reads per week. Children who do this are 5* readers and will be celebrated with a prize and a Dojo post on Class Story.
Library books should be sent in on a Wednesday so your child can choose their new library book.
