During the week 14^th -18^th December, we will be completing many Christmas activities in school including:

- Making Christmas Cards

- Listening to and watching A Christmas Carol and writing a diary entry from Scrooge

- Making 2021 Calendars

- Making Christmas Decorations

Please try some of these activities at home.

Welcome to the Y6 page!

Our class text is 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. We are investigating and practising letter writing in English and of course improving our Grammar. 

In maths we are currently recapping Place Value but extending our understanding to 10,000,000. Any opportunities to practise this at home would be great! 

In Science, we are looking at states of change and chemical changes and will start investigating next week. 

We are studying Population in Geography and tennis/athletics in PE up until Christmas. 

Unfortunately, reading books will not be able to go home at present but we will be setting the children up with online reading material. This means they may still progress through their Accelerated Reading levels by completing reading tests at school once a text has been read at home, and by reading at school in our daily dedicated reading time.
