Parents - What you can do at home to help

What can we do to help our children outside of school?

We encourage the children to read daily for at least 10 minutes. It is really useful to ask the children questions about their reading books to see if they are enjoying/understanding the texts they are reading. Writing a comment or some feedback on their yellow reading record can be really helpful for us at school and we really appreciate you taking the time to do this :)!

To help the children with their fluency in Maths we also encourage them to practise their times tables, numbers bonds and timed activities such as 'Minute Maths' to increase their speed.
