Show Racism the Red Card

As part of our Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural Curriculum we worked with the organisation Show Racism the Red Card. The organisation utilises the high profile of football players and football to highlight the problem of racism in society. The children really enjoyed the day and some of the games we played such as chinese whispers!

Cornet Commotion!

Miss Foster kindly arranged for Tees Valley Music to come into school and try out a musical instrument. We had brilliant fun trying to get a musical note! Some children were brilliant and have chosen to learn to play this instrument.

Harvest Festival

Food Bank presented our assembly and explained the importance of the donations to the local community. Thank you to all the parents and children who brought in food to help!

Ancient Greece

We are learning about the great civilisation that created the present day Olympic games! We went to Durham University museum and had a fantastic time. We played knucklebones, built a temple, sketched real Greek artefacts which were primary sources. ( Ask your child what this means!) We also made clay offereings to the gods and acted out the greek play Media. It was a brilliant day!
