Grow, Persevere, Succeed. Be the best you can be!
Miss Hinnigan, Mr Finn, Mrs Lancaster & Mrs Armstrong welcome you back to Year 3. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Homework
Our homework will be given to children on a Tuesday. Children will be given one piece of Maths homework alongside their spellings for that week. Children are also expected to choose a task from the sheet in the front of their homework books. Homework is due in on a Friday and the children's weekly spelling test is also on a Friday. Children are also encouraged to read at home daily as this really does have a huge impact on their progress :)
PE kit
This half-term Year 3 children will be taking part in PE lessons every Tuesday afternoon. The children will also take part in PE every second Monday afternoon as follows:
Class 8 Class 9
9th January 16th January
23rd January 30th January
6th February
Jewellery
We would like to reinforce the school rules and explain that children are not allowed to wear jewellery in school, including earrings. This rule is in place to protect children for their own health and safety. Children will be asked to remove any jewellery to comply with these rules.
Class author
Our class author this term is Edit Nesbit. We will be focusing reading her book ‘The Railway Children’ and learning about her life and work.
