Important Information
In year 1 here at Grange Primary School we take pride in our work and love to learn.
We must make sure we arrive at school every day on time and have our reading books with us every day.
Our PE day is Wednesday (please make sure your child has their PE kit in school every week, these will be sent home at the end of each half term to get washed before being returned).
We take our homework home on a Tuesday and complete it to be handed back by a Friday
Parents - What you can do to help at home
In Year One we encourage the children to be reading all of the time in school and at home.
We encourage the children and you as parents to be reading with your child/ren every night or at least 4 times per week as a minimum. We take pride in our reading and every class tracks their home readers and gives rewards out for regular reading so keep it up!
In Year One we are learning to count, read and write numbers up to 100. You can help at home by practising counting forwards and backwards to 100 or by playing games involving numbers to 100 such as snakes and ladders.
