Who is Who at Grange?
All staff at Grange are involved in and committed to providing education and support for SEND students.
We have a Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCO for short) who monitors and organises provision for children with special educational needs & disabilities in school. They also direct parents and teachers toward professionals who can help and provide support. The SENDCO works with other teachers, parents, carers and children to arrange and co-ordinate help and provision for pupils with special educational needs & disabilities in school.
The SENDCO at Grange primary School is Mr Merritt. Mr Merritt oversees the implementation of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Policy.
Some school staff have additional training and qualifications which are used to help children with special educational needs & disabilities access teaching and learning, for example, British Sign Language (BSL), manual handling training, training related to Autistic Spectrum Disorder and administration of medication in schools.
If you have any questions or queries about Special Educational Needs & disabilities, please contact Mr Merritt on (01429 272007)
