Term 1
Why do spiders eat flies?
This term we will be learning all about mini beasts and will be our links across all areas across the curriculum.
We will be finding out about different minibeasts and where they live by exploring in our school environment and by visiting other places such as Wynyard Woods, Rossmere Forest school and Hardwick Park. We will be learning about different celebrations, such as Halloween, Diwali, Bonfire night and Christmas.
In phonics your child will be learning:
- Letter recognition
- tricky words
- reading words and simple captions.
In maths your child will be learning:
- Number recognition 0-20
- Learning to count out objects accurately.
