PE Sessions - Dance
On a Tuesday, throughout half term 3 and 4, a dance instructor comes into school to deliver our PE dance sessions. They are fabulous and we love moving to the music and improving our coordination and gross motor skills.
Chinese New Year
We love learning about other cultures and seeing how their celebrations are the same and different to ours. The children learnt about Chinese/Lunar New Year and read 'The Great Race' which taught them how the signs of the Zodiac were decided. This year, we learned it was the year of the rabbit.
We celebrated Pancake Day a little early in school after reading Mr Wolf's Pancakes.
It was a great opportunity to use our knife and fork, spread our toppings, wash up after ourselves and of course eat some yummy pancakes!
We decided we would really like to have an outdoor sand pit and the children were excited to help us dig the mud out and create it.
Book Prize Winner!
This half term, we had our first book prize winner from Reception. Well done for filling in your reading card by practising hard on your reading at home. We are so proud of you!
