Important Information
PE is on Wednesday afternoons for all children in Year 6.
Optional spelling and maths homework is available for all children every week. If your child would benefit from extra revision in a certain area, their class teacher will provide this.
How You Can Help - Reading
It is very important that your child reads at home as frequently as possible. Please ensure that your child reads at home at least four times a week. If your child would prefer to read at school, they are welcome to join our reading boosters, which start at 8am each morning and are held in Mrs Smith’s room. Children can also read at lunchtime or playtime if they prefer.
How You Can Help - Maths
We encourage the children in Year 6 to practise their multiplication tables and the associated division facts as much as possible so that they can be recalled quickly and accurately. If you can help your child to practise these facts, it would be much appreciated.
If your child would like to practise anything else related to their maths lessons, please ask your child’s teacher or Mrs Smith for extra homework.
Maths boosters are held on Wednesdays until 4pm. If your child would like to attend, please let us know.
