History-Creating our own timeline
History- Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II
In our History lessons, we have started to learn about Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. As Historians we have been developing our understanding of chronology by looking at the significant events of Queen Victoria’s life. We placed the key events in the correct chronological order to create an oral timeline.
Science-Animals including humans
In our new Science topic, the children in Year 2 have been learning about the life processes. In this lesson, we identified the seven life processes (movement, respiration ,sensitivity, growth, reproduction, expression and nutrition) and discussed where these occur in nature. The children then used their newly acquired knowledge to group plants, animals and objects into the groups- alive, dead or never living.
